Shinfield 10K

We are very proud to be the main sponsor for the Local 10 Kilometer run that takes place in Shinfield each May Day Bank Holiday. There is also a fantastic Junior Race with various age categories on the day. We traditionally provide refreshment and music as well as some enthusiastic, technicolour pom pom encouragement at our cheer station in front of the nursery.

It is always hugely popular with our children and families, as well as the neighbouring community - bringing everyone together.

The event is organised by our friends at Reading Road Runners.

Easter Egg Trail, Shinfield

Honeysuckle organises a fun annual Easter Egg trail around Shinfield. We plan to grow this concept to become bigger and better and we are ‘hatching’ new ideas for themes and prizes each year. It is available to the whole local community so please do check social media in the lead up to Easter for information regarding trail maps and prizes.



Shinfield View Care Home

We have the privilege and absolute pleasure of visiting the local residential home, ‘Shinfield View’ each week. Having worked closely with them for several years now, we look forward to many more. Seeing the young and elderly members of our community interact, learn and thrive through this connection is a joy for all involved.

From taking the children to wave at the residents during lockdown, to singing carols at Christmas and playing games each week at Tiny Feet sessions. It is clear to see the benefits of such wonderful intergenerational care.
