A diverse learning journey as individual as each child
Honeysuckle Day Nursery offers a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for learning. This facilitates unique opportunities and experiences in which each child can develop individually through play whilst inspired by their own interests. A Honeysuckle child will continuously be discovering, evolving and cultivating new skills both physically and emotionally as well as learning about the world around them. While gently guided and supported by qualified staff a Honeysuckle child will forge their own bespoke learning journey as individual as each of them; moving toward achieving their foundational developmental goals.
The Early Years Foundation Stage is integral to Honeysuckles curriculum and forms the basis for our fundamental areas of development.
Promoting Independence
However, the Honeysuckle Curriculum is structured and delivered in a format that is harmonious with our ethos and always with our ‘go the extra mile’ Honeysuckle flourish!
We promote independence with self help skills and confidence, building your childs self esteem. Practitioners track the children’s development as they progress through the nursery periodically. This makes it possible for the key person to plan exciting and inviting opportunities for your child, ensuring that they are developing that love for learning.
School Readiness
Your children benefit from a rural setting which enables us to go for walks and we have excellent outdoor facilities. We take the children into the garden to enjoy the fresh air daily and in all weathers. This is important for their immune systems as well as providing valuable play opportunities.
Our preschool room will work with the group of children that are getting ready for the transition to school to ensure that we are equipping them with all the skills needed to embark on this big change. This will be done through a combination of child and adult led activities whilst being fun and engaging for the children. A large part of our curriculum is centered around the outdoors.
