When your baby joins us at Honeysuckle we endeavour to follow your existing routine to give that home from home feel. We provide opportunities and planned activities that incorporate the children’s interests and cater for their individual, developmental needs.
The daily routine ensures we create a stimulating environment for the babies offering a range of activities to help them develop through play. These range from music and movement, story time or sand and water play to various arts, crafts and garden time. The room allows the children to explore all areas and they can access an abundance of resources all at their level. This allows them to select toys that they would like to play with.
There is a cosy area within the room where the children can explore the sensory toys and the bubble tube, this is a relaxing area of the room enjoyed by many of the babies. The baby room also includes a home corner section along with a selection of dressing up clothes to promote imaginative play for the babies so that they can imitate first hand experiences. Sleep time is a very important part of the babies routine and as such we have a cosy designated sleep area with cots and sleep beds for our older babies.
Our garden is a generous size and boasts a mud kitchen, vegetable garden and a decked area which the babies love to explore, utilising a range of outdoor toys. We have a separate milk kitchen available to baby room which enables us to easily make up feeds and a feeding chair within our quiet sleep area to feed the babies in a more restful space.
